    Realism

    Photographic detail in black and grey. Depth built through contrast and texture rather than outline, so the piece keeps reading from across a room.

    Colour Realism

    The work that won Best of Show. Saturated palettes layered to hold their vibrancy as the tattoo settles, on portraits, characters and figures.

  3. 03

    Japanese and Oriental

    Dragons, samurai, phoenix and deities composed at full back and full sleeve scale, with flow mapped to the body rather than pasted onto it.

  4. 04

    Large Scale Composition

    Multi session projects that run across a back, a chest or a limb. Cong refines the concept, fixes the flow, then executes it over as long as it takes.

How a Piece Happens

Four Steps From Idea to Ink.

Every project is quoted after Cong has seen the idea and the placement. Nothing is booked from a price list.

  1. Step 01

    Enquiry

    Send the idea, the placement and any references. The more you show, the more accurate the answer that comes back.

  2. Step 02

    Consultation

    In the studio or over a call. Cong reads the body, adjusts the composition and confirms the number of sessions the piece needs.

  3. Step 03

    Deposit and Date

    A deposit holds the chair and goes toward the final cost. Drawing begins once the date is fixed.

  4. Step 04

    Sessions

    Large pieces are built over several sittings. Aftercare is walked through at the end of each one.

Ten years in, with championships across Asia and Europe and a seat on the judging panel at conventions from Bangkok to Rouen. He still tattoos every piece himself.

He also teaches. Artists he has mentored have gone on to take Best of Show titles of their own.
